ADHD or ADD
What is ADHD and ADD?
ADHD is a very misunderstood neurological disorder that impacts part of the brain that helps us plan, focus on and execute tasks. It continues into adulthood but most learn better ways of coping with it. It can make people act impulsively and take risks. It can also help people hyper-focus, where they can lose hours doing something that they are very interested in and then not be able to focus at all on some tasks. They can easily become distracted and can be disorganised.
ADD is a type of ADHD that does not involve constant movement and fidgeting.
While the distractibility, disorganisation, and impulsivity of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or ADD) can cause problems in many areas of adult life, changes to lifestyle and some professional counselling will allow successful management of your life and acceptance.
